How big is your car park?

How big is your car park?

It's easy enough to fit a car park with entry and exit counters and from them work out how many cars are inside at any one time. But what most people want to know is how many free spaces there are, and to work that out you need to know the car park's capacity. You'd think that these figures would be readily available, since anyone could juist go out and count the space. But it turns out that there's some confusion. The County Council's Voyager system, the City Council pages on car parking, and the Cambridge City and South Cambs Transport Strategy (from 2014, see tables B5 and B7) all disagree about how big many of the car parks are, in some cases by as much as 20%:

Table of car park capacities

(sorry about the image - I can't work out how to display a table here).

I wonder which of these represent reality?
