  By: ijl20 on Dec. 13, 2018, 9:30 a.m.

As of the morning of Thurs Dec 13th our 'Station Board' widget is showing a 'blank' page - the data we're retrieving from the National Rail service has a problem and we're looking into it.

Re: Issues adding a new device

  By: ijl20 on Nov. 1, 2018, 11:04 a.m.

apologies for the slow response - we're quietly in the twilight zone where our LoraWAN equipment provider (EveryNet) has unilaterally disabled V1 of their network and moved to an incompatible V2. We've migrated our base stations but have not yet r...

  • Layout grid choices have been expanded from 6x4 to also 9x6 and 12x8 (and their portrait equiva...

Re: Car park data problems

  By: ijl20 on Aug. 6, 2018, 9:07 a.m.

we've reported the faults with the 'exit' sensors on those car parks and they will be fixed, although we haven't been given a time estimate. I guess the length of the outage has crept up on us - I'll try and get an estimate of how long it will be ...

Layout vs Display

  By: ijl20 on July 11, 2018, 10:18 a.m.

Hint for those out there creating their own custom SmartPanels, derived from a slight misunderstanding I've noticed...

While you develop your carefully designed grid layout of selected widgets, you can hit the VIEW button and see how your creatio...

Operational Issues Updates

  By: ijl20 on July 10, 2018, 5:03 p.m.

Today Tues 10th July the Weather data feed from the UK Met Office seems to be royally broken. So the weather widget on the SmartPanel will be blank when it refreshes. Nothing we can do about this at the moment except inform the Met Office.

as of...

Re: Support for Portrait Layouts?

  By: ijl20 on July 9, 2018, 9:29 p.m.

obviously sounds reasonable and we'll add it to the list. Don't get me started on 'Doh' as the fixed layout was a considered choice to deliver what we did. There are quite a few other 'small' improvements we intend to make but maybe we can put a ...

Re: Bus Live Data Map

  By: ijl20 on June 28, 2018, 8:59 a.m.

In due course we'll get around to providing the next version of that bus map - for the past several months the main 'development' focus has been the SmartPanel with a combination of the layout framework, the multiple widget design, and also the d...

The essential concepts are:

Widget: this is a layout component that shows information about a particular thing, e.g. the Weather, or a Train Station.

Layout: this is the particular choice and configuration of widgets that makes up your preferred...

Re: Histon Rd

  By: ijl20 on June 12, 2018, 3:25 p.m.

I'd need to go through the process of rendering the new zone on a map and comparing it to the previous one - the essential question is whether this zone alters the transit time for the existing buses or not, i.e. have the start/finish lines moved?...

Re: Class C operation

  By: ijl20 on Feb. 23, 2018, 10:13 a.m.

All the sensors on the network so far have been uplink only (i.e. the typical transmission of sensor data to a server), so if you have a downlink requirement it's best we collaborate for these first ones... the advantage is we can use our internal...

Re: Smart city in a week - Cambridge project

So far we've registered 30 devices and have the first one sending humidity and temperature data to SenSat - I look forward to seeing what this project produces.
