Re: Possible new zones

  By: edward on Aug. 3, 2018, 2:09 p.m.

I would definitely add Regent St/St Andrews St between Hills Rd junction and Downing St.

I'd also suggest a zone from St Andrews St at Emmanuel St to Magdalene St at Northampton St. This would capture the buses that route via Hobson St - King St ...

Re: Historic car park usage

  By: edward on Aug. 3, 2018, 1:59 p.m.

This is very interesting, and important evidence with which to evaluate the decision to remove the £1 parking charge. See my questions in "Car park data problems" about cleaning the data. Here's a thought:

Add three extra data columns: 1) A quali...

Re: Car park data problems

Hi Jon,

There still seem to be problems with: * Madingley P&R exit sensor * Newmarket Rd P&R front sensors * All data periodically, with random zero or off-the-scale readings and discontinuities (e.g. 31 July)

Are there any cases where t...

Re: Histon Rd

This would be a new zone as the start line is to the south of King's Hedges Rd. Similarly for the Milton Rd polygon: the finish line is before the Elizabeth Way-Highworth Ave roundabout.

Histon Rd

A suggestion for an alternative zone polygon for Histon Rd, which would capture the Busway B buses as well as the Citi 8:

"zone.id": "histon_road_2_in",

Re: Milton Rd

If I've understood those instructions correctly, then this should describe a simple polygon that will capture Busway and Citi 9 services between the Busway and Elizabeth Way roundabout (where their routes diverge):

"zone.id": "milton_roa...

What does the value "ts_delta" represent in the zone transit data?

  By: edward on Oct. 20, 2017, 8:14 p.m.

What is the significance of the ts_delta value in the data?

Backs South route

  By: edward on Oct. 20, 2017, 8:13 p.m.

The Backs South route is not reporting any data, presumably because no bus uses this route (the U goes via Silver St)? Much more useful would be to see transit times up/down Queen's Road (using Bluetooth sensor data).

Milton Rd

  By: edward on Oct. 20, 2017, 8:12 p.m.

The Milton P&R buses (code SCCM-PR5?) turn off onto Elizabeth Way, and so don't cross the red line shown on the map at Mitcham's Corner. Presumably there's also a boundary line on Elizabeth Way? However transit times are not directly comparabl...

Bluetooth sensors

  By: edward on Oct. 20, 2017, 7:54 p.m.

If the the traffic plots are only based on bus movements, where is the Bluetooth sensor data going?
